UK Senior Mathematical Challenge Success

25th November 21

DLD students now have their results for the Senior Mathematical Challenge and many have achieved Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards. Well done to all those who took part!

Taehee Y (winner of Best in Year 13) and Ryan P (in Year 12 and winner of Best in DLD College London) both achieved extremely high Gold Awards in the Senior Mathematical Challenge and have qualified for the next stage of the UK Maths Olympiad.

Taehee will now take part in the very competitive invitation only Senior Kangaroo follow-on round and, as one of the very highest performers in the competition, Ryan will now progress to the full British Mathematical Olympiad Round 1 on 2 December 2021. The BMO1 is over 3 hours and very difficult!

Both Taehee and Ryan are studying Mathematics and Further Mathematics at A Level. Taehee is hoping to study Chemical Engineering at Imperial College, London and Ryan is keen to study Engineering or Economics at University.

Good luck Taehee and Ryan for the Kangaroo and British Olympiad results!
