Commenting on this year’s results, James Kidd, Principal at DLD College London said: “I’m incredibly proud of our students and their excellent achievements in the latest A‑Level and BTEC results. Our students have demonstrated outstanding commitment, skill, and creativity to secure places at some of the UK’s leading universities, reinforcing the value of vocational learning alongside traditional academic pathways. These achievements speak volumes about their hard work and the high-quality support provided by our staff. We’re incredibly proud of each student’s growth and look forward to seeing them how they progress in the studies and future careers.”
GCSE results for 2025 are strong for a non-selective school, and continue to outperform the national average.

It is great to see fantastic results yet again, a testament to our teaching staff who consistently get the best out of our students. The results further strengthen DLD’s position as a leading provider of foundation pathways for students preparing for university study in the UK.”
DLD is proud to have an extremely high entry rate to universities each year, placing students at prestigious institutions in an incredibly wide range of disciplines. This year is no exception with places at universities including St Andrews, Exeter, Warwick, LSE, King’s College London, Imperial and UCL, plus the University of Southern California and University of Richmond in the USA.
Our University Admissions Tutor system ensures that applicants are known well by their academic referees and closely supported and advised by their UATs, who guide them in making appropriate choices of course and institution.
Universities in London are strongly favoured by DLD students, who clearly enjoy the hectic life of the capital with all it has to offer. However, many students – both domestic and international – accept offers to study at reputable metropolitan and provincial universities outside London.
Each September, DLD College hosts an Autumn University Fair in the building with up to 30 providers represented. This allows students to meet representatives from a range of higher education institutions. Students are also encouraged to attend university open days to see for themselves what individual providers have to offer.

We provide a comprehensive programme of advice and tuition for those students we think have a chance of being offered an Oxbridge place i.e. a minimum of 6 A*/A grades at GCSE. Lower Sixth students participate in the Oxbridge Entrance Programme in the last week of June.
This includes:
Following AS results, if the application still looks strong, Oxbridge candidates follow an intensive course, which comprises lectures on a range of cultural and scientific topics, seminars to develop analytical skills, and mock interviews followed by an evaluation of the student’s performance.
Students wishing to apply to university in the United States will be required to take SAT examinations. Tuition for these exams is organised by the college. For more information please contact Daniel Woodley.
During the Lower Sixth year students are encouraged to arrange essential work experience and also to visit schools of medicine, veterinary science or dentistry to find out more about the structure and content of the courses offered. Prospective medical students participate in the Careers Week Medicine and Dentistry Programme. Depending on AS results, at the beginning of Upper Sixth the student’s electronic application will be submitted to UCAS before the deadline of October 15th. BMAT tuition is offered in the Autumn Term. Applicants also attend a programme of weekly seminars on medical ethics. Each applicant has three mock interviews.
