Our unique Year 9 curriculum allows students to make the most of our London location, as we take students out every Friday into the city as part of the ‘Urban Schools Project’.  Students will work in cross-curricular projects, getting involved in the community and develop their research, inquiry and reflection skills using everything the capital has to offer, instilling an awareness beyond the conventional.

Access to Resources: London provides exceptional access to libraries, research facilities, and academic resources. We have a wide range of resources available at DLD with a well-stocked library and online resources. However, if there is anything you need, we have an excellent relationship with the London Library – a treasure trove of knowledge, housing an extensive collection of books, manuscripts, and historical documents.

International Community: London has a large and diverse international student community and that is evident at DLD with over 55 nationalities represented among our student body. Location and Travel Opportunities: DLD’s unique location by London Waterloo and convenient access to buses and the London Underground mean students have ample opportunities to broaden their horizons and enjoy the cultural experiences London has to offer. London’s central location within Europe makes it an ideal base for getting in and out of the continent with all of London’s major international airports less than an hour away and excellent Eurostar connections.

Within walking distance of DLD is Archbishop’s Park is a serene oasis nestled in the heart of London, offering respite from the bustling city streets. Situated near Lambeth Palace, the historic residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury, this green haven boasts lush lawns, beautifully landscaped gardens, and charming pathways that invite visitors to escape the city. The park is used reguarly by DLD for football and netball clubs.

DLD College London is unique located in the centre of London, on the banks of the River Thames, directly opposite the Palace of Westminster, often referred to as the Houses of Parliament. The historic palace is a masterpiece of Gothic architecture, with its ornate spires, intricate stone carvings, and the world-famous Big Ben clock tower, of which many DLD boarding students have unrivalled views of! This inspirational place has a unique role at DLD, hosting our graduation ceremony. DLD College London has previously held its graduation at the Palace of Westminster – the only school in the World to do so. This is a truely memorable experience for students and parents alike!
