When asked to produce an artwork in unconventional materials over the Easter holiday A Level Art student Ekaterina decided to create a painting in chocolate.
A small group of Year 13 A Level Physics students attended a High Energy Physics Masterclass at Imperial College London at the end of March.
During the Easter holidays, 12 DLD students from years 11-13 took part in a 3 day Duke of Edinburgh Silver practice expedition in the New Forest. The expedition was a great success with all 12 students doing exceptionally well!
Last week the DLD College London Drama Club staged two performances of ‘A Servant of Two Masters’ the classic Italian comedy by Carlo Goldoni, adapted by the group into a version that could only be staged at DLD.

The DLD College London theatre was the venue for a DJ spectacular on 1st April 2019, with the very first DJ Night, showcasing three of the College’s most talented DJs. The event was organised and run by the Year 11 BTEC Music group as part of their course.
On a beautiful sunny Saturday morning, DLD hosted Abbey College Cambridge in the first ever Netball match between the Colleges. As both teams have been in the developmental phase of the sport due to their inception only being this year it was going to be interesting to see the level of both teams.
This week in psychology we looked at conformity. We conducted an experiment similar to the Jenness test. Participants in our experiment were asked to guess the number of sweets in a glass jar. Would the participants give a similar answer?
This week the A-Level Film Studies students hosted a lecture by Dana Polan, Professor in the Department of Cinema Studies at the Tisch School of the Arts New York. Dana is author of the BFI Classic book about the film Pulp Fiction, which the students are studying as part of the Year 13 component in Experimental Cinema.
