Last week the DLD College London Drama Club staged two performances of ‘A Servant of Two Masters’ the classic Italian comedy by Carlo Goldoni, adapted by the group into a version that could only be staged at DLD. The students rehearsed weekly after school over the last two terms (and more intensively in the week leading up to the performance) to put on the production that audiences described as having ‘real charm’ and ‘hilarious’. The show offered a mixture of classic love story and knockabout comedy as fit the original style of the play, along with masses of improvisation, audience interaction and silliness.
