DLD College London Ski Trip to Italy

DLD College London embarked upon an exciting Italian ski trip over February half-term which saw 26 students and 4 staff members take to the slopes in Lavarone & Fulgaria, Italy.  In collaboration with school ski trip provider 321ski www.321ski.co.uk we had a wonderful trip where students had expert instruction in both skiing and snowboarding.  Apres ski activities included: College Quiz Night, Disco Night, Tube Sledging and Bowling Night.  On the last ski day our three ability groups competed in a downhill race where Meera Patel won fastest skier in the Beginner Group, Andrey Kim in the Intermediate Group and Jenna Earnshaw in our Advanced Group.  Our final day took staff and students to glorious Venice where we took in the sites and sounds of this beautiful, historical city.  St. Mark’s Square, The Grande Canal and the Rialto Bridge were well received by our students. Trip leaders:  Gemma Deane, Kate Griffiths, Courtney Love-Weeden and John Snipe chaperoned the students and we thank our 321ski Rep’s Toby, Garry and Suzannah for their boundless energy, organisation and enthusiasm.

A huge thank you to our students as they represented DLD and Abbey with brilliant maturity and leadership.  Congratulations to everyone for a successful trip and keep your eyes out for future excursions.
