The Drama Department is excited for those students doing their solo acting London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) examinations over the next two Saturdays.
Well done to all the Academic English students on their recent IELTS results. An impressive 99% of students made progress this year, 56% of whom improved by an outstanding 1.5 bands, and, of these, 32% progressed by at least 2.0 bands.
Whilst preparations are underway, our students continue to revise diligently and sit for their exams and the staff have been impressed at their commitment and maturity during this busy exam season.
DLD College is going plastic free. Devised and implemented by one of our year 12 students, Cherkez, this project has ensured the College has stopped selling single use plastic bottles completely, with students and staff being issued a reusable bottle to use instead.
DLD College London boarders had a fun time watching the iconic musical Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty’s Theatre yesterday.
When asked to produce an artwork in unconventional materials over the Easter holiday A Level Art student Ekaterina decided to create a painting in chocolate.
A small group of Year 13 A Level Physics students attended a High Energy Physics Masterclass at Imperial College London at the end of March.
During the Easter holidays, 12 DLD students from years 11-13 took part in a 3 day Duke of Edinburgh Silver practice expedition in the New Forest. The expedition was a great success with all 12 students doing exceptionally well!
