Netball Awards Night

On Thursday 14th May every member of the DLD College London Netball team attended the first ever ‘virtual awards ceremony’. This was very impressive given the time zone differences and that two GCSE Students also had a full timetable during the day.
The evening started with a quiz which got the competitive juices flowing (which everyone has been missing) and the girls had fun trying to beat our very own quizzer extraordinaire, Jess Ellett, with Charlotte P (Head of School) coming so close and only losing out on 1st Place by one point.
Then it was on to the much anticipated awards section of the evening where the Player of The Year, Player’s Player and Best Mental Attitude Awards were announced.
Congratulations to the 2019-20 winners:
- Player of The Year – Tajera (Captain, GD)
- Player’s Player – Louisa (GA/GS)
- Best Mental Attitude – Millie (WD)
Sean Gallagher, Head of Sport at DLD College London, gave high praise to the whole team who have been excellent and said that it’s been a pleasure for himself and Jess to work with them.
