During the day the students received a personal talk from Cadbury World where they found out about Cadburys Business objectives, structures and functions.
The students then got to explore the 14 zones in Cadbury World which tell the story of chocolate and the Cadbury business through various static sets, animatronics, video presentations, multi-sensory cinema, interactive displays and activities, and staff demonstrations.
The main aim of the trip was to enable students to apply their knowledge of the AS course to a working Business by showing their understanding of the marketing mix and production methods, technology, stock control and quality.
Cadbury World opened on 14 August 1990, on Cadbury’s Bournville manufacturing site and has gone on to become one of Birmingham’s largest leisure attractions with over 500,000 visitors each year.
