We are celebrating outstanding academic success after achieving a 100% pass rate in this year’s Foundation Programme (FP). The results highlight the college’s continued commitment to academic excellence, with 42% of students earning Distinctions across all pathways.
Several subject areas delivered particularly strong performances. 75% of students studying on the Economics & Advanced Maths pathway achieved a grade of 85% or above and were awarded a Distinctions, reflecting the college’s strength in quantitative and analytical disciplines. Biomedical Science students also excelled, with 67% awarded a distinction as a result of achieving a grade of 80% or above, while half of students on the Computer Science pathway reached a top grade of over 80%.

Many of our departing FP students have secured places at leading Russell Group universities, where they will begin their studies in September. Their achievements highlight the transformative impact of the FP and the college’s commitment to nurturing ambition and academic confidence.
Assistant Principal and Head of Programmes, Celestine Cawley reflected, “Congratulations to students for their resilience, ambition, and academic commitment. It is great to see fantastic results yet again, a testament to our teaching staff who consistently get the best out of our students. The results further strengthen DLD’s position as a leading provider of foundation pathways for students preparing for university study in the UK.”
The Foundation Programme was formerly known as the International Foundation Programme (IFP).
