DLD Students Explore Future Pathways at Careers Day

We recently hosted a highly successful Futures & Careers Day, offering students a valuable opportunity to engage with a diverse range of external speakers from a wide variety of professional backgrounds.
Throughout the day, students attended a series of insightful talks exploring career pathways across multiple sectors, including business, charity and NGOs, psychology, entrepreneurship, the creative industries, engineering, and education. Speakers shared their personal journeys and provided honest reflections on the realities of their careers, alongside the key skills, resilience, and mindset required to succeed in today’s competitive and fast-evolving world of work.
The event also gave students a deeper understanding of university experiences, application processes, and the breadth of opportunities available after college. Hearing directly from both industry professionals and former students helped to bring these pathways to life, bridging the gap between academic study and future aspirations.
Students represented the College exceptionally well, demonstrating enthusiasm, curiosity, and thoughtful engagement throughout the day. The Futures & Careers Day proved to be an inspiring and informative experience, empowering students to reflect on their ambitions and take confident steps towards their future beyond DLD.
