Student Council Doughnut Sale Raises Nearly £300 for Mental Health Awareness

3rd June 26

The Student Council’s latest fundraising effort proved a sweet success, with a doughnut sale that raised nearly £300 in support of mental health awareness. Every penny of the proceeds will be donated to the Anna Freud charity, a leading organisation dedicated to improving the wellbeing of children and young people.

Held during breaktime, the sale drew enthusiastic support from students and staff alike. The council chose mental health as their focus this term, aiming to spark conversations and promote a more open, supportive school culture. Their initiative aligns with wider national efforts to highlight the importance of youth mental health and ensure young people know where to turn for help.

Student Council members said they were “thrilled” with the turnout and grateful for the generosity shown across the school community. The funds raised will help the Anna Freud charity continue its work providing resources, research, and support for young people and the adults who care for them.

Thank you to everyone who supported!
