Celebrating Our APC and Year 11 Students’ Outstanding IELTS Success

The Academic English Department is delighted to share the impressive achievements of our students in the recent IELTS exam (25 January 2025). Through hard work, dedication, and expert guidance, many of our learners have already met their target scores, four months in advance, paving the way for their academic aspirations.
In this first sitting (the final sitting taking place in May), over half of the student cohort achieved Band 5.0 and above, with several reaching the coveted Band 5.5 and even Band 6.0! These results reflect their commitment to mastering all four language skills—Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. Their success stems from a combination of factors: focussed training on exam strategies, time management, and common pitfalls, simulated test environments and detailed analysis of strengths and areas for improvement, and intensive practice on writing coherence, vocabulary enhancement, and fluency in speaking.
With these outstanding results, many of our students are now preparing for their next academic milestones. Whether their next step is Year 11, 12 or IFP, their IELTS success has unlocked exciting new pathways.
