New Student Council Appointed

DLD College London has appointed a new Student Council comprised of dynamic and dedicated individuals from diverse academic backgrounds.

The Student Council serves as a voice for the student body, advocating for their interests, concerns, and aspirations. Comprised of enthusiastic students from various houses, courses and a mix between day and boarding students, the council embodies DLD’s commitment to student experience, unique learning opportunities, and inclusion.

This year the council is headed by Arian A and Mariella K. On their appointments Arian said,

“I am very excited and deeply grateful to have the opportunity to take over the role of Head of School.  It is truly a privilege to be entrusted with this role, and I sincerely thank everyone who supported me. We have an exciting journey ahead, full of opportunities to inspire, innovate, and empower everyone in our community.”

Mariella shared the same sentiment saying,

“I am deeply honoured to have been elected as one the new Head of School. I am excited to embark on this journey alongside our dedicated staff, enthusiastic students, and supportive families. Together, we will continue to foster an environment where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their fullest potential at Dld College London.”

They, along with the rest of the student council were presented with their new gold lanyards by Olivia H, the outgoing Head of Student Council, who alongside Mark B have represented students diligently and have been fantastic ambassadors for the students and the school itself.

Irfan Latif, Principal of DLD College London congratulated the newly elected council saying,

“We are delighted to welcome the new Student Council 24/25 and are confident in their ability to serve as effective advocates for their peers, at DLD College London, we recognize the importance of student empowerment and are committed to providing platforms for student voices to be heard.”

In addition to advocating for student interests, the Student Council will work closely with the school senior leadership team, organising student-led events, charity fundraisers, and enhance the overall student experience at DLD College London.
