Students Volunteer to for local charity

6th December 23

A group of our students have been volunteering to raise money for the local charity Archbishops Park Community Trust.

Archbishop’s Park Community Trust is very close to DLD College London, just next door in our local park where our students play off site sports such as football and netball. The charity supports disadvantaged young people aged 17-24 with learning disabilities. They attend the charity each week to develop key gardening skills which helps them find work which otherwise would be very challenging.  Many come from low income families and have little support or encouragement to make the most of their abilities, but through the charity’s work they can gain confidence to secure a better future.

We will be selling the jam and chutney that we have made ourselves from the fruit and vegetables grown by the students at the charity and there will be honey from the park bees!  All the proceeds will help secure a better future for the students.

Students, please come and support us at the Christmas party on Friday to help us raise money for this amazing cause.
