Enrichment Week, the last week of term, is packed with exciting activities for students to participate in. Here is an overview of the experiences awaiting our students from 26th to 30th June:
Monday, 26th June: Students will engage in charitable walks, supporting various causes. Each house has chosen a route and a charity to support: Piccadilly House will walk for Macmillan Cancer Support, Northern House for Battersea Cats and Dogs Home, Metropolitan House for Teenage Cancer Trust, District House for Evelina Children’s Hospital, and Jubilee House for Waterloo Foodbank.
Tuesday, 27th June: Year 9 and 10 students will go on a Docklands Excursion, delving into the history of London’s Docklands. They will visit the Docklands Museum, Trinity Buoy, and Canary Wharf, learning about the working conditions at the docks and exploring the urbanization of Canary Wharf. Meanwhile, Year 12 students will participate in University and Career Seminars, gaining insights into higher education and career planning.
Wednesday, 28th June: Year 9 and 10 students will visit the Design Museum, where the design industry converges to challenge conventional thinking about design’s past, present, and future. They will also explore Borough Market. Year 12 students will engage in an Academic Enrichment Day, attending a number of sessions, including digital photo editing, job interview and CV writing workshops, a one-day film school, and various trips.
Thursday, 29th June: Year 9 and 10 students will journey to the Olympic Park in Stratford, where they will learn about the Olympic Games at the iconic London 2012 stadium and the surrounding park. Following that, they will have the chance to explore Westfield, Europe’s largest urban retail destination. Year 12 students will receive university and career support, including assistance with online UCAS forms and guidance on their personal statement..
Friday, 30th June: On the final day of term, there will be House competitions and a full school assembly to wrap up Enrichment Week. Students from different Houses will compete against each other, fostering a sense of friendly rivalry and camaraderie. The day will culminate in a whole-school assembly, where achievements and highlights of the week will be celebrated.
