DLD LoL Team Visit MSI 2023 at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

In the Copper Box Arena at London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, members of DLD College London’s League of Legends Esports team attended the Mid Season Invitational 2023. Entering into the arena, a cacophony of chants from fans that had travelled from across the globe, the world’s best League of Legends teams and players had assembled.
DLD students watched PSG Talon defeat DFM, the top teams from Hong Kong and Japan respectively. Before seeing the UK’s G2 overcome Brazil’s LOUD, with the British and Brazilian crowds creating a louder atmosphere than many Premier League football stadiums. At DLD, London is our classroom and the students thoroughly enjoyed themselves, with one attendee stating the trip was “one of my best experiences in London.”
The event was a fantastic success and a wonderful way to round off our League of Legends season, in which the team managed to reach the quarter finals of the British Esports National Student Champs. Well done to everyone involved for representing DLD so well and making our community so proud in our inaugural Esports season!
