A Level Business Trip to Drafts Cafe Waterloo

Our central location on the London Southbank means that DLD College London is fortunate enough to have a plethora of activities right on our doorstep. Last week, four separate groups from A Level Business visited our local Draughts café, home to over 1000 board games, loctaed in the iconic Leake Street Arches. Students enjoyed a range of board games, food and drink, whilst learning a great deal about one of the largest and most traditional markets in the world. The trip was followed up with students using what they had learnt to deliver presentations in class on the topic “The Future of Board Games”.
The students thoroughly enjoyed taking their learning outside of the classroom, putting theory into practice and looking at a real life case study. We look forward to doing this trip again with students in the future!
