It’s been a busy half-term for Business students, the largest department in college.

The Year 13s had a taste of a full mock exam lasting a whopping 2 hours and 15 minutes, with some very good results to boot. This will serve them well as they enter the final exam period.

The Year 12s also had their mock exams with their attention now turning towards preparing for their university applications.

Setting up a small business
The BTEC Tech Award students are setting up their own small businesses as part of their coursework. They will be having online guest speakers, including one who has set up an innovative candle making businesses.

Business Outside the Classroom
Some of the Year 12s took part in a field visit to Westminster Bridge where they were tasked with setting up a new tour company. They questioned members of the public, analysed the existing market and are in the process of preparing their final pitches.

The Big London Bake
Staff and students will be visiting the prestitigious Big London Bake in Tooting next Sunday, the 12th March. This will give them an opportunity to benefit from expert tuition and world class baking facilities before they bake their own culinary creation.
