BTEC Sport Students work with renowned Strength and Conditioning Coach

2nd February 23

The Year 10 BTEC Sport students recently took a trip to Revival Studio to work with professional Strength and Conditioning Coach Daniel Lavipour who delivered a workshop that focused on how to prepare participants for physical activity which is a component of their course.

Daniel has some 18 years of experience working in professional sport as well as with private clients from a range of backgrounds including celebrities and professionals. This experience includes training multiple world and Olympic champions as well as several actors for major film roles. He has trained the England men‘s and women’s football teams across different age groups as well as working for the British Olympic Association, the English Institute of Sport, and the New Zealand Olympic Team.

Daniel also holds significant experience in rehabilitating injuries where he was the national lead rehabilitation coach for Team GB.

This was a unique opportunity for students to gain expert knowledge to take back with them and utilise throughout their course. The students behaved impeccably and were a credit to the school. We hope to give the students more ‘real world’ experience of the sports industry throughout the year.

My thanks to Lauren M, Assistant Principal (Academic) for assisting on the trip.
