Art Students visit Frieze to develop their practice

5th November 21

A-level Art, Photography and Graphics Trip to the Frieze Art Fair on Saturday 16th October 2021.

London is our classroom, the art department recognize and celebrate this. Our wonderful location enables us to visit the Frieze Art Fair annually, as well many other galleries, exhibitions and arts workshops throughout the academic year. These opportunities enable all our students to become self-aware reflective practitioners, understanding the practical, contextual and historical contexts of Art, Photography and Graphics in society, culture and history.

A big thank you to all 45 A Level Arts and IFP students who actively participated in this year’s Frieze Art Fair in Regent’s Park, London. Students were stimulated and inspired by the diversity and variety of thought provoking paintings, photographs, installations and events. An essential part of studying A Level Art, Photography and Graphics is an awareness and understanding of contemporary artists’ multi-disciplinary approach to expression and working in many different mediums . Our students have to evidence their in depth understanding of artists’ connections and influences throughout their courses as well creating visual responses to various works of art at the Frieze Art Fair.
