CINEMA EXPERT TALKS TO DLD FILM & MEDIA SOCIETY

The Film and Media Society hosted a Zoom Q & A with Professor Dana Polan from the Department of Cinema Studies at the Tisch School of Arts, New York University on Thursday evening.  It was quite an honour to speak with Professor Polan who has not only published a number of books on film, but he is also a former President of the Society for Cinema Studies, the professional society for film, and a former editor of its publication, Cinema Journal.

He spoke to students about the future of cinema and film making, how the cinema going audience had been fragmented with streaming, the impact of the Superhero movie on storytelling and much more. The talk created much excitement and the students are really buzzing from hearing his thoughts.
