Sol Campbell Opens New Sports Pitch

Sol Campbell, the former England, Arsenal & Spurs football captain, visited DLD on Thursday this week to view our facilities and meet some of our students and staff. During his visit, he officially opened our new Sports Pitch which was developed over lockdown by Urbanest and gives our students a much-needed recreation space for use during breaks and in the evenings and at weekends.
Sol was really impressed by everything he saw at college and took the time to chat with Adam and Carl from our 1st XI football team and also to sign autographs for the super fans! We are developing a DLD Football Studies programme which we are planning to launch in September 2021 and Sol will be the ambassador for this innovative and game-changing qualification.
