Beacon of Hope – DLD displays Rainbow posters for the NHS

DLD College London joined the British public in their weekly display of support for the courageous NHS workers and carers on Thursday evening. The College has been accepting rainbow posters created by children throughout the UK to cheer the NHS staff and patients and we are proud to be able to display them in our prominent position in central London, opposite St Thomas’ Hospital and at the South end of Westminster Bridge.
This display has been put together by our Boarding community led by Houseparent Sheila Price and with the support of Rainbows for NHS Nightingale, Britannia Village Primary School, Epson UK, Amazon UK and Hermes couriers.
St Thomas’ Hospital tweeted to say it was “making their staff smile” and we have received so many messages of support and goodwill. The display even features in the new Every Mind Matters campaign launched by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as featured on the Kensington Royal Instagram account.
It has been a huge team effort and we are pleased to be able to do our part during these exceptional times.
