13th March 19
On Tuesday 5th March DLD College London celebrated Shrove Tuesday with the first ever DLD College London pancake race, involving runners racing around the balcony area of the atrium, while flipping a pancake in a frying pan to achieve the quickest possible time. There were a variety of different techniques and styles from both students and staff members which impressed the large crowd who came to support. The winner was Jonathan who completed six flips and the circuit in 13.22 seconds, narrowly beating the Principal, Irfan Latif, who took second place. It was a great atmosphere and many thanks to all the willing runners and those members of the community who came to support. The prize – the golden frying pan – was presented to Jonathan by Irfan at the conclusion of the race. We look forward to reconvening at the same time next year!
