King’s College London Visit – A Short Walk To Another World Class University
Not every school or college can walk a group of students to King’s College London for a special admissions lecture and personalised tour of their new campus. This is exactly what 18 DLD College London students enjoyed on the afternoon of Wednesday 29th November. The majority of the students on the visit were from the DLD College London International Foundation Programme, with a small number of first year A Level students.
After receiving some very specific guidance on how to optimise the UCAS personal statement, DLD College students were shown around the Strand campus and the brand new King’s Business School that is located in the iconic Bush House buildings. Formerly the headquarters of the BBC World Service, at one time Bush House was declared as “the most expensive building in the world”. A significant number of DLD College A Level and International Foundation students have obtained places at KCL in recent years. With 50+ nationalities at DLD College London this year, it not surprising that students from the College feel comfortable in the cosmopolitan, relaxed atmosphere of King’s.
DLD College London is committed to maintaining excellent connections with top universities. The visit to King’s College London follows recent visits to UCL and from the London School of Economics.
“I had a great time at King’s. Lots of my friends who did the IFP last year have got places there so I already knew it was a respected university. However I didn’t realise that it is considered to be within the top 25 in the world. It’s great that DLD has excellent links with the best universities. Thanks to my teachers for organising this opportunity”
