14th September 16
On Friday, 9th September, Adam Walker came to DLD College London to talk to the students about his challenge “Oceans 7”, created as the ultimate endurance challenge – the ocean swimming version of the “Seven Summits”. Adam Walker is the first British man to swim the toughest seven Oceans in the World! Adam set out on an incredible journey in open water swimming which changed his life.
Adam talked about how he was inspired by a movie to take on the English Channel, and how that moment changed his life forever. Although Adam has completed such an incredible physical and mental challenge, his message to students was to never give up even when everything is against you. He knew that it was only through hard work, dedication and perseverance that his dream would be realised. This is a hugely important message for our students to take on board and recognise that with hard work comes great reward.
