Fiyar by DLD College London BTEC Media Production

Fiyar is the title of the latest student magazine produced by BTEC Media Production students from DLD College London. The students spent over two months researching and writing articles and designing the magazine. This was one of four assignments that they have completed throughout this year. The magazine is a perfect example of what the BTEC courses offers to students. The course is designed to replicate industry and the students work together in a small team to bring Fiyar to life. Being able to develop their own product and put it out to an audience is an incredible achievement and as it is something tangible the students feel a real sense of pride in their work.
John Branney, course leader for BTEC qualifications at DLD College London said “I am really inspired by the hard work and effort that has gone into creating Fiyar. The students had a vision and they made it a reality. It is a great that the students get to see their work come to life and that they can see the people around them read and enjoy their work”. Fiyar has been distributed around the college and online.
