DLD College London Student Awards Ceremony

On Monday 14th December, 2015, the GCSE, Year 10 and Pre-sessional groups had their first Student Awards Ceremony this academic year. Students were nominated by their Personal Tutors, Class Tutors and their Directors of Welfare and Studies in areas such as “Outstanding Effort”, “Best “overall Attendance” and “Highest Punctuality” to name a few. The Awards Ceremony kicked off with an introduction from Danise Bartlett the Director of Studies and a welcome introduction by DLD College London Principal, Rachel Borland. Personal Tutors were invited to give the awards to students in their own Personal Tutor Groups who had been active participants in College life, both academic and extra-curricular. Following this, students were awarded for their commitment and discipline with their academic studies receiving “Student of the Month” awards, Principal awarded students with 100% attendance and the Director of Welfare awarded students with the highest punctuality. Throughout the ceremony students rose to the occasion, congratulating their peers for their efforts and some even enquired about how they could get an award at the Spring Ceremony. There were nearly 30 recipients for the Autumn term awards, we congratulate all students for their efforts during the Autumn term, and look forward to celebrating more achievements at the end of the Spring term.
