London is Our Classroom

7th February 25

The start of 2025 has seen us continue to embrace the vibrant and dynamic opportunities that our city has to offer, transforming London into our very own classroom. With an array of enriching educational trips taking place across the capital, our students have been able to engage with their subjects in real-world contexts, bringing their learning to life beyond the traditional classroom setting.

From the hallowed halls of the British Museum, where students explored ancient civilizations, to the British Transport Museum, where our Year 9 students delved into the evolution of London’s iconic transport system, each excursion has provided valuable insights and hands-on learning experiences.

Mathematics enthusiasts were captivated at Maths Fest, a prestigious event that brings together leading mathematicians to inspire and challenge students with engaging lectures and problem-solving activities. Meanwhile, the magic of the West End productions of Wicked provided students with first-hand exposure to world-class theatre productions, further igniting their passion for the stage.

These trips reflect our commitment to experiential learning, ensuring our students gain a deeper understanding of their subjects while taking full advantage of London’s rich cultural and educational resources. By stepping outside the classroom and into the city, DLD students continue to broaden their horizons, develop new perspectives, and immerse themselves in the wealth of opportunities that London has to offer.

At DLD, London truly is our classroom!
