Artwork of the Month – April 22

The Best Artwork of the month is an A1 collage produced from segments of painted portraits which were distorted in Adobe Photoshop and creatively put together by Y13 A Level Art student William K.

He explains the meaning behind his communication and the inspiration for his work:

‘This artwork is a result of my investigation of the theme “Dreams and fantasies”. The idea is inspired by Giuseppe Arcimboldo’s surreal portraits and shows, through a dream like setting, the distorted views we see of each other. Created though a collage it displays the loss of facial forms as the unconscious mind distorts.’
