This term we welcomed global hospitality education institutions Glion and Les Roches to deliver a marketing masterclass to our BTEC Business and IFP Business & Economics and IFP Fashion Management students.
The students were given an overview of the institutions who offer courses ranging from International Hospitality Business Management to Marketing and Management for Luxury Tourism, set in beautiful locations including Switzerland, Spain, UK and China. They give students a truly global education and excellent networking opportunities for those interested in a career in the Hospitality and Tourism industries.
Our students were asked to consolidate what they had learned to deliver a presentation on how they would launch a new hotel, part of the luxury Marriot group owned W Hotel chain using innovative marketing techniques.
Our students truly rose to the challenge and we saw great ideas and plans shared by the group – the outstanding presentation of the day was delivered by Thomas (Y14) Valeriya (Y14) Joshua (Y12) and Will (Y12) who through the innovative use of social media, targeted advertising and well thought out competitive strategies impressed the visitors from The Glion Institute and were crowned winners of the challenge.
