Making a Difference – Darcy Bourne speaks for Black History Month

October is Black History Month in the UK. It is a time when we celebrate the achievements of Black British people.

This year we were delighted to welcome Darcy Bourne, England U21 and GB EDP Hockey player. She gave an inspirational talk on the events that led to her picture at the Black Lives Matter march in 2020 going viral. She then described how this inspired her to co-found Beyond Our Game, a charity that connects diverse student-athletes with employers.

Students learnt first-hand that even they can make a difference.
