Summer Enrichment Programme Begins!

18th June 21

This week DLD College London launched our three week Summer enrichment programme. The first week was Aspirations Week and arranged events that challenged students to think and prepare for their future.

The week of activities began with a motivational talk by performance coach Kam Taj, who shared with students the five mindsets to use during this week and beyond. Our Head of UCAS, Dr Daniel Woodley, arranged trips to Oxford and Cambridge which offered our students the valuable opportunity to engage with the rich culture and heritage that both the city and the universities can offer them. Those students who were interested in overseas applications were provided with 1:1 consultations with one of the world’s leading independent college counsellors, David Hawkins, founder of the University Guys. The college community gathered to celebrate our alumni, as former student Polina a talk about law and sustainable finance. And we had the first session of the Human Rights conference where students embraced their right to turn off their screens!

This week also saw the launch of our Academic Essay Competition which revolves around population growth.  More details can be found on the Societies and Competitions page of the college website: https://www.dldcollege.co.uk/courses/societies-and-competitions/

Next week, we will be continuing our enrichment programme by exploring London. Students will be offered several exciting opportunities to visit what this amazing and vibrant city has to offer.  We are often heard saying ‘London is our classroom’ and this will be especially true of next week.
