This week Year 9 Art and Design students visited a local Newport Street Gallery to see the work of Damien Hirst, a British contemporary artist whose varied practice explores the relationships between art, religion, science, life and death. The students found the exhibition interesting and discussed what art is, as well as human dependence on medicine. They finished the trip with a pleasant stroll next to the river Thames enjoying a view of Lambeth Palace and Parliament.
