Year 12 Awards Ceremony

On Wednesday 26th May, we celebrated a year of learning, progress and achievement for our Year 12 students who were joined by their families online. The DLD Productions students from Film & Media A level and BTEC courses managed the filming and live emission on the college’s YouTube channel and website, which went brilliantly well. We also had fabulous musical performances from our talented musicians, Anita and Parmida on piano and Doug, Jahan, Lucca and Noelle in their band.
It felt really special to be able to congregate together and celebrate a year of hard work and resilience. It was also an opportunity for students to think about their future and what they will have achieved by this time next year and hopefully about to embark on a university course. What do they need?
Preparation is key and the next half term activities will certainly help towards that goal. Following the progression exams in the week commencing 7th June 2021, and alongside their normal lessons, students will have access to a programme of enrichment activities to extend their learning. The university application process will of course be an important element of the week starting 14th June 2021. Each subsequent week will have a different focus and students have received a link to register their choice.
