27th June 19
As promised here’s an update from the Waterloo Festival which went ahead last Friday despite the appalling weather. Many of the contributor’s postponed due to bad weather but we were geared up to perform and so in true DLD style we thought ‘the show must go on’. Our brave students presented Shakespearean monologues from ‘As You Like it’ and ‘Romeo and Juliet’ outside St John’s Church, Waterloo in the pouring rain.
Diogo, Andrea, Maya and Beam all acted confidently and charismatically. They engaged an audience made up out of the general public, many of whom were just passing by, so potentially not an easy audience. Sarah Diamond and I were very proud of our students. Well done!
