Duke of Edinburgh Practice

On Saturday, 12 students from DLD College London were out in Richmond Park getting some navigation training in ahead of their Duke of Edinburgh Silver Practice and Assessed Hikes. The groups learnt some basic skills as they navigated around the park using Ordnance Survey maps and compasses. The students braved high winds and spotted lots of deer and swans. It was a little taste of what expect in April when they embark on a three day expedition in the New Forest.
