Mandy Demetriou Comes To DLD College To Teach Classical Dance

9th September 16

Mandy comes to us hot foot from the Royal Ballet at Covent Garden to teach dance at DLD College London. Using her wealth of expertise, she will explore dance styles ranging from ballroom (watch out ‘Strictly Come Dancing’!), national dance styles and dances from history.  We are so lucky to have Mandy’s expertise and this is an exciting new activity at DLD.

Mandy Demetriou is originally from Zimbabwe and has worked as a dancer, teacher, choreographer and performer in a wide variety of styles and methods. Her passion is dance and movement and she has worked with dancers, actors, singers and musicians hoping to inspire them with a little of the delight she has found from working in this field. She has been fortunate to have had as her mentors both SHEILA BARLOW and ANNA SWEENY who have encouraged her to find her own style of teaching movement and now she concentrates on teaching and choreography. She works at the NATIONAL OPERA STUDIO, ROYAL ACADEMY OF MUSIC, JETTE PARKER YOUNG ARTISTS PROGRAMME AT THE ROYAL OPERA HOUSE.
