Our Year 9 students recently enjoyed an inspiring trip to the British Museum, where they had the unique opportunity to visit the fascinating exhibition featuring the Tudor heart. This rare artifact offered a glimpse into the medical practices and cultural beliefs of the Tudor period, sparking curiosity and discussion among the group.
The visit was not only a chance to see history up close but also to deepen their understanding of the Tudor era, complementing classroom learning with real-world exploration. Students were captivated by the intricate details and historical significance of the exhibit, and many commented on how seeing such objects in person brought their studies to life.
Trips like these are an important part of the DLD experience, helping students connect with history in meaningful and memorable ways. A big thank you to the staff who organised this enriching day out!
