Year 12 Business students recently enjoyed an enriching visit to the Bank of England, deepening their understanding of the UK’s financial system and the central bank’s vital role in the economy.
The trip provided students with valuable insights into how monetary policy shapes inflation, interest rates, and financial stability. They also had the opportunity to explore the Bank of England Museum, where interactive exhibits and historical artefacts brought key economic concepts to life.
The visit perfectly complemented their A Level and BTEC studies, helping students connect classroom theory with real-world applications.
Speaking after the trip, one student commented, “It was fascinating to see how decisions made at the Bank of England impact businesses and individuals across the country.”
The experience was a brilliant example of DLD’s commitment to experiential learning — bringing education beyond the classroom and into the heart of London’s financial district.
