Year 9 Students Explore Tate Modern as Part of London Learning Curriculum

19th September 25

Our Year 9 students have recently been out exploring the inspiring collections at Tate Modern, immersing themselves in the world of modern and contemporary art as part of DLD College London’s London Learning curriculum.

London Learning is a unique feature of the Year 9 experience at DLD, designed to take education beyond the classroom. Each week, students step out into the capital to engage with the city’s vast array of cultural attractions, museums, galleries, and landmarks, bringing learning to life in meaningful and memorable ways.

The visit to Tate Modern encouraged students to think critically about art, culture, and society, sparking curiosity and rich classroom discussions upon their return.

Through this curriculum, DLD aims to nurture not only academic knowledge but also a love of learning, curiosity, and cultural awareness—skills and attitudes that will stay with our students for life.
