Last month, nine of our talented Year 12 A Level Physics students took on the prestigious British Physics Olympiad (BPhO) Senior Physics Challenge, a national competition designed to test students’ problem-solving abilities through a demanding one-hour exam.
We are proud to share that our students performed exceptionally well, with one student receiving a Commendation, seven awarded Bronze certificates, and one student earning a Silver award. These results reflect not only the students’ hard work and aptitude for Physics, but also their enthusiasm for taking on academic challenges beyond the classroom.
Students who took part include Shawna, Shina, Seti, Rita, Stefan, Cassio, Tommy, Gordon, and Ammar, with Dr Sam Siddiqui, their Physics teacher, proudly supporting them throughout the process.
Very well done to everyone who took part—this success is a testament to the strong academic culture at DLD and the dedication of both our students and staff.
