2nd February 23
The year 11 Physics students developed their skills as Astrophysicists on their trip to Royal Observatory, Greenwich on Thursday 2 February. We were taken straight into an investigation on the origins of the universe. In our explorations we worked out the age of the Universe. There must be a few Nobel prizes in the offing!
Following lunch we visited the Planetarium and were taken to the sun, through the Milky Way to the most distant galaxies and back. At the end of the day we had a visit to the Meridian Line.
A lot of learning was achieved ready for the GCSE’s in June. Well done to all the students who participated with such amazing enjoyment!
