Greenpeace National Poetry Writing Competition

6th October 22

DLD College London is proud to be taking part in a National Poetry Writing Competition in conjunction with Greenpeace. Today, Thursday 06 October, is National Poetry Day and Simon Pearson, Head of English, gave a presentation to Years 10 and 11 students on poems which tackle some of the most pressing environmental issues of the day: the greenhouse effect, deforestation, global warming and plastic pollution. In the coming weeks, a Greenpeace speaker will visit DLD and deliver a workshop to raise awareness of what is at stake. Simon will be conducting poetry workshops in the forthcoming weeks. The students’ response was thoroughly enthusiastic. Who will be awarded the laurels of victory?
