Lower School Imperial War Museum Visit

30th June 22

On Tuesday 28th June, as part of Enrichment Week, the Year 9 and 10 students, accompanied by four teachers and the Head of the Lower School, visited the world-renowned Imperial War Museum, located a stone’s throw away from DLD College London. The varied exhibits, displays and galleries allowed the students an insight into the way of life in previous years and the hardships people experienced during times of conflict, particularly WW1 and WW2. International students had the opportunity to practice their English language in context, asking relevant questions to develop their knowledge further.

A well-earned lunch at a local pizza establishment followed the museum visit, with students returning to College exhausted, but with a sated appetite, both physically and intellectually!

These unique learning opportunities are invaluable, broadening the students’ horizons and enhancing their awareness of global history and issues.

The students were a credit to the College, and an absolute pleasure to accompany.

We wish them all a restful summer break and look forward to welcoming them back in September.
