Artwork of the Month – September 2021

This skilfully drawn A1 charcoal drawing by Year 12 A Level Art student Mayya P was selected as The Best Artwork of September. This drawing is a response on the theme ‘Picture into my world’ which is based on forgetting people who shaped our childhood. She explains:
‘The photograph that I used as a reference for this drawing was taken when I was a child. I remember the people in the picture, yet I don’t remember much about them. These people had influenced me when I was a child and now, they have vanished from my mind. That’s how my childhood has been, meeting new people (family friends) that raised me and leaving them behind. That’s a true insight into my world.’
