Twelve DLD Chemistry students entered the renowned UK Chemistry Olympiad which is the leading chemistry competition for students in secondary education across the British Isles. It is an annual challenge run by the Royal Society of Chemistry to put their skills and knowledge to the test in an intense two hour examination. They were tested on physical, organic and inorganic disciplines with some of the content being at university level.
With true resilience style, two of them achieved Bronze awards – congratulations to Byron and Maria. The Chemistry Department are truly proud of this achievement, especially during a disrupted period of time during their lives.
