DLD Music students took part in a workshop on the long running musical Les Miserables at the Prince of Wales Theatre in the heart of the West End. Our students did a fantastic job singing ‘At The End of the Day’ – and also acting it out too. The event was run by famous producer, Cameron Mackintosh’s Head of Education. Our students were treated as if they were a new company rehearsing for an actual production, and they were expected to take it seriously, as they would, if they were looking for work as performers. After this we saw a matinee performance of the show itself at the Queens’ Theatre. This is a fantastic piece of musical theatre, with many memorable tunes based on a very substantial story written by the great French author Victor Hugo.
