Alpha Scholars host students from Skive College, Denmark

3rd October 17

DLD College London Alpha Scholars Programme Talk

The Alpha Scholars played host to a group of 31 students and staff from Skive College, Denmark. Members of the group were eager to see our building and find out about student life in a cosmopolitan global capital.

After a tour of the college, the Danish students delivered a presentation on Denmark. The Scholars enhanced their understanding on a wide range of topics including demographics, economic affairs and the strong culture of design in Denmark. It was then the turn of the DLD students to present. Adam Linert, Dayana Chumburidze and Cody O’Connor presented their ideas on ‘Collaborative Learning in the Digital Age’. The presentation explored issues such as appropriate ‘Netiquette’ and also offered practical suggestions for maximising learning online. The final part of the visit involved the Alpha Scholars chairing an open discussion on collaborative learning. The event provided a learning opportunity for all those involved.

We wish the staff and students of Skive a safe trip back to Denmark and hope to continue our conversation online.
